Album Notes
I had the privilege of growing up in Jeanerette, Louisiana, a small town along a sleepy Louisiana bayou where everybody knew most everyone in the town. I remember the sights, sounds and smells that were always around our family home during the Christmas season. If we weren't rich, we certainly couldn't tell. Christmas was then, and has always been, my favorite time of year. I have always loved the sounds of Christmas carols and the music my parents played during he holidays. It was always a festive time of year. I tried to take those memories and put them into verse and then into songs telling the stories I remembered into music that I could share. I wanted this "album" to be fun, festive and something people could share with their friends and families and make part of their own Christmas traditions. Since I first came out with this group of songs and stories in 1989, I have been pleasantly surprised to find out that lots of people who added my songs to their collections in the early years, still listen to them today, and share them with new generations. I am looking forward to sharing my stories and music from my Cajun upbringing with a whole new generation. Merry Christmas and Joyeux Noel!
