ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
A slightly ribald new sea shanty after the style of the old classics. It's a story told by a sailor who has signed aboard a ship, leaving his girl of dubious virtue behind, and he proceeds to give the listeners (in a seedy port tavern somewhere, it's assumed) his views of the principle members of the ship's crew. Starting with the rum-soaked captain, the story proceeds through the mates, down through the cook, the ship's carpenter, and finally the ship' chaplain who, in the end, proves not so holy after all.

This is a rollicking drinking song. Swilling some sort of grog while listening is highly recommended!

I will donate all of my income from sales of this song to Médecins Sans Frontières (www.msf.org) a.k.a "Doctors Without Borders". MSF delivers emergency medical aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural or man-made disasters.

MSF's medical professionals could be earning a comfortable living most anywhere in the world. They choose instead to serve those most in need, in the worst of conditions, often at personal risk to themselves. For less then the price of a coffee or a beer you can help me to help this amazing organization. Thanks for your support!
