Skin telegraphs sensation from air,
filtered from distant worlds.
Language constricts our sense of self
to an illusion of separation.
The verb of living, flux and transmutation,
expands outward from the middle,
concentric ripples on a pond.
We drop through the surface,
pebbles tossed from the shore.

Ambience for all.
Do yourself the favor of buying this double album. It is healing. It takes one to places of depth, lush soundscapes, texture upon texture.. I bought the hard copy because of the brilliant artwork wrought by the artist himself. I wanted to hold the album jacket in my hands. Robert's music is a gift to all serious listeners. Open your ears, open your heart. I am now twenty-seven albums into his oeuvre and he takes me on an adventure each time. Enjoy the journey and the places that Robert Rich will take you to. Magic and light ... enjoy the view. Enjoy the ride.

Two hours of adventurous ambient sonic excellence
Robert Rich's new album, "Tactile Ground", is taking me places like nothing since his 2012 album,"Nest". It's another high point in a stellar career that's included “Numena”, “Rainforest”, “Propagation”, “Fissures”, “Humidity”, “Electric Ladder”, and “Nest”. I've been playing it constantly for a couple of weeks now, and it doesn't get old -- it rewards close headphone listening with amazing depth, and works equally well as sonic wallpaper to cushion my office or living room with comfortable organic atmosphere. Highly recommended.
