Album Notes
Robin Batteau performs live on guitar, violin, and vocals as up to one half of "Buskin & Batteau" with David Buskin on vocals, piano, and guitar. With Paul Guzzone on bass and vocals and Marshal Rosenberg on congas and percussion, they're equally at home in clubs, concert halls, living rooms, and on the occasional London streetcorner. Robin's played his personal style of improvisational violin with Lucy Kaplansky, Shawn Colvin, Bonnie Raitt, Patty Larkin, Christine Lavin, Bruce Springsteen, Yo-Yo Ma, Benny Goodman, Tom Rush, Tom Chapin, Tom Paxton, Peter Paul and Mary, Mary Travers, Judy Collins, Joan Baez, Mimi Farina, Eric Andersen, Bill Morrissey, Chris Smither, John McAuliffe, John Compton, David Batteau, Nanci Griffith, Cheryl Wheeler, and many more. All his proceeds (and he owns it outright) from "Voices from the Hole in the Wall" go straight to Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. If you'd like to make a bigger contribution-- and for my money it's the best-run, best-staffed, friendliest charity of all time, which all make giving so much more satisfying-- go to and pony up. Let's ride.
