ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Healing Meditations" was created from a space of love. I was initially encouraged by my yoga students to record a Yoga Nidra meditation for them to practice at home. As I began recording the nidra, I was led to record the other three meditations.
The Yoga Nidra meditation is the first recording on this project. If you are interested in working on deep relaxation, or a profound change or healing in some area(s) of your life, I recommend that you commit to practicing the nidra at least once per week. It can certainly be done more often, as the more you practice, the better your results.
An important part of the nidra is establishing your sankalpa or intention statement/affirmation. You will be asked to state it to yourself at the beginning and end of the practice. The meditation guides you through the process, and one is even suggested for you, if you are unable to come up with one on your own. Your sankalpa should be a short, positive statement, worded in the present tense. For example: “My body is healthy and whole.” “I am abundant in all areas of my life.” “I am relaxed and at peace.” “I establish healthy, happy relationship with others.” “I am fully and completely connected to God.” The list is endless. Allow your heart to guide you to your sankalpa.
