Album Notes
Robin's fifth album 'From The Ground Up' was largely recorded over the winter of 2015 and has been nagging him to finish and release it ever since.

Largely made across east London in various small rooms, the songs have been laid out with guitar then gently infused with violin, accordion, piano, brass, flute and given a light sprinkling of angelic backing vocals and ukulele with the odd percussive tinkle and other musical joys.

Here are some nice things said about Robin's previous recordings:

“Robin Grey will not need to do too much to prove himself an incendiary artist in the world of folk music. There is literature in his words and his calmly exquisite mannerisms seem to bring you back to a simpler time and place.” Fensepost

“Robin Grey has a lovely fresh approach to the folk genre. A honeyed yet clear voice and his lyrics are arresting. A real treasure.” The Londonist

“Grey is one of those wonderful talents that could recite the phone directory on record and you’d still be enthralled.” Another Form of Relief
