ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
After nearly 12 years away from active performing, Rob has been generating excitement and “buzz” with promoters, fellow performers, and acoustic music fans with the release of his CD "You. Must. Stop." The CD features the award winning tracks “Like You Do” and “Why They Play The Games” and the country infused tune “Love You As You Break My Heart”.

The project was recorded in Nashville, TN with rising star producer and guitarist Thomm Jutz (Producer and Guitarist Nanci Griffith)and an all-star group of Nashville players including Barry Walsh (Gretchen Peters, Boxtops, ) on piano and keyboards, Mark Fain (Ricky Skaggs) on the bass, Fatts Kaplin (Roy Bookbinder, Tom Russell), and John Gardner (Dixie Chicks, Earle Scruggs, James Taylor) on drums and percussion.

The foundation tracks and vocals for the project were essentially recorded live in a 2 day session that captured the interaction between these songs and these top musicians. Baltimore based songwriter and folk diva Karyn Oliver provides harmony vocals and expressive color to Lytle's versatile, likeable, and emotionally honest vocal performances. As expressed by one fan, these songs will “stick with you like gum in your hair!”

Best album of 2011 so far
My album of the month for July on the 3rd Coast Music FAR Report. It is my favorite album of 2011 so far …more hooks than a fisherman's hat… Rob's melodies are like earwigs that just burrow into your brain and remain there
His music will be getting plenty of airplay on my show and I'll be championing it to anyone who'll listen.” - Eddie White, The Cosmic Cowboy Café 88.5 FM, Sydney Australia
