Album Notes
‘Sun Come Shine’ is an adventure in retro-pop. Produced by the renown Michael Carpenter, the album sets timeless pop hooks against open-book lyrics. The songs are infectious and fresh yet somehow familiar, with an array of rare and vintage instruments being employed on the recording. Robyn’s unique and intimate tones are a signature of the album, and this is an album in the true sense - one to be enjoyed on first listen and re-discovered with every spin.

Robyn Habel is a Triple J Unearthed song winner, a nine time SAMI award winner, and an award winning documentary filmmaker.

Singer, songwriter, bass player, filmmaker, Robyn has now recorded and released internationally three original solo albums Robyn Habel, Red and Sun Come Shine. Sun Come Shine is published by Albert Music.

Robyn has recorded over 10 albums with various bands, including
juju eyeballs, The Everys, July 14th, The Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, and Jeff Lang. She has been associated with labels such as Polygram, Warner Chappell, Festival, Mushroom, Albert, Larrikin and Greasy Pop.

Robyn has supported acts such as Stevie Wonder, Toni Childs, Crowded House and Midnight Oil to name a few. As a bass player Robyn has backed artists such as Rolf Harris, Judith Durham of the Seekers, Matt Monroe, Don Burrows, George Golla, James Morrison, Normie Rowe and Kamahl!

Fifth generation Australian, Robyn was born and raised in St Louis, USA, and now resides in Australia.

In her spare time she lectures in Jazz at the University of Adelaide, drinks beer and eats pizza.
