The Dinosaur Principle

by Rock Chick & the Submersibles

Dr Seuss meets a frog in a sock. Rock Chick is back with her hydrated, water obsessed band in a rock album that's more exhilarating than a magic mountain water slide in a dinosaur onesie.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
From the highly successful theater show of the same name, Rock Chick & The Submersibles launched their show in June 2014 to packed houses and very, very excitable kids.

Din (the dinosaur) arrived late to the start of the show, got nervous - has an unfortunate habit of farting when he gets nervous - and then refused to come out on to the stage for the entire show. He did, however, feel it necessary to interrupt the whole way through, much to Rock Chicks' disgust and the audience's delight.

These are all the songs from the show, from the straight out rock in Dinosaur Rock to the more melancholy strains of Muddy Blues. Tied in beautifully with the Australian national curriculum for primary schools, the songs all have an educational backbone to expand on in the classroom. Not that you'd know it from listening, but there's some very cool information sinking into subconscious minds on the awesome properties of our most precious of resource on the planet... we have the feedback to prove it!

Packaged as entertainment with accidentally educational properties, this is more than what you would usually expect from a kids album.

Previously a co-founder of the extremely successful 9-year journey of Rock Chick & Science Geek, who entertained thousands of kids and positively influenced a new generation of future scientists, this is the first album in the brand new series for Rock Chick & The Submersibles. Less focus on education and more on entertainment, this has the depth of information hidden between the layers and captivates kids on all levels.

Our students were laughing, attentive to the point of being mesmerized, and literally dancing in the aisles!"
Sally Jones (special needs teacher)

"On par with the best shows we've seen... completely captivated the kids (not just ours)"
Mother of a 4 & 7 year old

"I think you and your band was awesome... rock and roll. Yeah"
Shaune (Primary School)

"That treatment plant was awesome. Also the best part was the FARTING DINOSAUR"
Thomas (Primary School)

"It was really really funny, I think your band is really really good"
Imogen (Junior Primary)

"Thank you for the wonderful, funny, music performance. It is my favourite performance this year"
Emma (Junior Primary)

"I liked your songs. The fountain was funny (so was the farty-saurus)"
Sam (Primary School)

More fabulously 'watery' tunes from Rock Chick designed for kids to have fun, appreciate good music and our most precious resource. Great album!

Uplifting and Fun
I love this upbeat album. The songs are so uplifting and make you want to dance and sing along. Dinosaur Rock kicks the album off with a bang and then it is non-stop fun!
