Album Notes
HI friends,
After playing with Captain Beefheart and The Magic Band in the late 60's thru early 70's, Forming the group Mallard with Zoot Horn Rollo in mid 70's, and playing with others artist like Leon Everette, I finally got around to recording my own music the way I feel it. This is really "Feel Good" music. If you enjoy listening to this music even half as much as I enjoyed recording it, I did my job.

A Musical Treat!
As a fan of the music performed by Rockette Morton in various bands since the 60's it was with some trepidation that I approached this cd. Was the individual as good as the sum? I had no need to worry - the musicianship is of the highest quality, and the guest appearance by Zoot Horn Rollo is a treat! This is a fun cd, filled with exquisite slide guitar playing. Recommended as essential listening to fans Old & New.

I have only listened to two songs and I am already disagreeing with some other r
Listening to the songs they sound right for now and where I am also, Please to hear something that liked immediately and feel I can grow with the sounds. The idea of an album concerning itself with love and space perhaps asks of the listener a certain transcendance and I only hope it gets a wide audience.

Love Space really sounds like feel good music, fairly different from the Magic Ba
I never will forget when I heard Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band for the first time;it was the Live Recording LP "Mirror Man",1965,we were 17 years old and were smoking hash for the first time .In those days in Germany the day by day life was, at least for people like us, with long hair, earrings, leatherpants, tattoos and cowboyboots, pretty greyish and depressing. Our schoolmates in general showed hardly any understanding for our music taste, the Magic Band sound was too much for them.Nowadays you can notice that more and more young people seem to be interested in music like the magic band was performing.Probably this has to do with the lack of non comercial music productions, you find so many different music styles today, but for my understanding a greater variety doesn`t guarantee automatically better music.Today I got the impression, you got to look good, that comes first.Whether you can sing, not to talk about being able to play an instrument is obviously not so important. The music-business is responsible for that sad devellopment.Making lot of money in a short time is their their credo.
Rockette Morton did the right thing to have his own studio and with the help of good friends you can create good music without becoming a musicwhore for one of the big music-labels.
Please let me add a few words about the Love Space CD.As Rockette wrote in his booklet"this is feel good music-no angry messages",that`s it.It`s admirable that Mr. Boston did almost all music by himself; but if I may say for example, the drum parts sound pretty poor, probably created by a drum computer,John French,Ed Marimba or Robert Arthur Williams would have been the much better decision.Too sad that only on one track Bill Harkleroad is performing.Rockette`s voice is nice, not so virtuous, but it fits into the character of the CD.Dear Rockette Morton(Mr. Mark Boston), you allways was and will allways remain the best Rock-music bassplayer in the world, for my sake, like Zoot Horn Rollo(Mr. Bill Harkleroad)is the best Rock music guitar-player on the globe, this is my deep conviction.I myself play bass-guitar since 30 years. It was a pleasure and honour to adress a few lines to you soul-relatives. Sorry for my poor english.Take care and Ciao

Old Songs Done Right.
I remember, as a kid, hearing a lot of these songs on a scratchy demo tape...They were fun to listen to then, as they are today. Hope there is another album in the future.
