Album Notes
Veteran elementary school teacher Tim Bedley has teamed up with rock 'n' roll genius Ben Jacobs to create this innovative kids' CD. Edutainment at its finest!
A follow-up CD to "Math," ROCKIN' THE STANDARDS "Language Arts" is a hard-hitting rock 'n' roll album designed for upper elementary school children. Today's kids demand more. They are musically sophisticated and ready for more than Barney and Raffi. ROCKIN' THE STANDARDS satisfies both students and adults. This is "real" music, not kids' music. These songs appeal to parents and teachers as much as the kids they work with.

The lyrics of ROCKIN' THE STANDARDS have been carefully crafted by veteran elementary school teacher Tim Bedley. Each song addresses a different math standard that Tim found students had difficulty retaining. Tim used these songs in his classroom with REAL kids and, because of the amazing results, wanted to share them with the world. Tim's friend Ben Jacobs caught the vision as well and contributed his talents to the project. Over the course of the past 6 months, Ben took these easy-to-learn impossible-to-forget songs and rearranged them as cutting-edge rock songs. After months of classroom tests, this revolutionary new CD is now available to students and teachers around the globe.

So what's the difference between ROCKIN' THE STANDARDS and all these other learning CD's?

*ROCKIN' THE STANDARDS does NOT contain songs with line after line of needless lyrics. RTS cuts to the chase. Within 15 to 30 seconds of singing, kids access key concepts.

*ROCKIN' THE STANDARDS is easy to sing without the CD. Sing along a few times and then you and your kids can spontaneously break into song at any time during the instructional day. In fact, RTS is so amazingly singer-friendly, the tunes will stick in your mind even when you don't want them to!

*ROCKIN' THE STANDARDS is standards-based. Kids are just singing about nice ideas to make everyone feel good. The lyrics to these songs directly address key academic standards that all kids are supposed to learn in order to succeed in school and in life!

*ROCKIN' THE STANDARDS is REAL rock music. Most educational CD's have been recorded by well-meaning teachers who happen to play an instrument. RTS is performed by professional musicians who have loads of real rock 'n' roll experience.
