Album Notes
Roger Sovine is country through and through. His heart of gold shines out in his soulful voice. Roger has been a beloved figure in the Nashville music industry all his life, and now he is expressing his creative side through song. For all of the songwriters and performers that Roger helped when they passed through his radar while he was an executive, now it’s his turn at bat. He’s taking the time to reveal his own package of Roger talent. This album is a special blend of country, pop, emotion and life experience.

Roger’s daddy, Red Sovine, was a country singer and the family star when Roger was a child. He recorded such hits as “Teddy Bear” and “Giddy-Up Go”.

Roger found his place in the music industry as an executive and champion of songwriters. His career included such companies as Cedarwood Publishing, Show-Biz Publishing, Welk Music, and Tree International. He excelled as the Vice President of the performing rights society BMI in Nashville.

Roger served on many boards in various capacities, including the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (NARAS), the Country Music Foundation, the Copyright Society of the South, R.O.P.E., the Country Music Association, the Tennessee Film, Entertainment & Music Commission, and the T.J. Martell Foundation.

The list of his accomplishments goes on and on and could fill page after page. There is only one Roger Sovine. To know him is to love him.
