ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This is rjr's fourth release and true to form, the band demonstrates all the stylistic range of their previous outings, from the straight-ahead swing of "Wordless Workshop" to the boiling free jazz/horror-movie-soundtrack mashup of the title track. Stops along that continuum include the Weather Report-inspired "Iferhouan"; a morphing gospel-rooted jam called "Newtricious"; the lovely "Off To Sleep", which recalls some of the flavor of mid-'70s Joni Mitchell; "Human Shadows", a gorgeous waltz ballad; and the klezmer-ish "Sucker Punch", featuring some of the quirkiest soloing to be found here.

Personnel:
Newt Johnson - keyboards
Ben Cohen - saxophone
Jim Cavender - guitar
Nick Walker - bass
Thad Brown - drums
