Album Notes
For his fifth indie CD release, veteran bluesman Ron Campbell joins with his long-time musical friend Dennis Fox for an album of brand-new rootsy tunes. All instruments and singing were performed by only the two pros. Like Ron, Dennis is a multi-instrumentalist, and we hear their talents displayed on guitar, bass, drums, saxophone, harmonica and keyboards.

Reviewers have praised Ron's earlier albums as "amazing", "sweet tone", "authentic blues", "reminiscent of Clapton, Atkins, or Knopfler". He's been called "Canada's most well-kept blues secret", and this latest release lives up to and surpasses all previous efforts.

Ron wrote three of the five tunes here and Dennis wrote two, including the title tune, a heartfelt ode to the long-distance motorcyclist. In the jazzy opening track, Laid Back Lover, Ron gently teases his woman for her sleepytime attitude. The songs all benefit from Ron's soulful slide guitar and Dennis's honking tenor sax, as well as Ron's drums and Dennis's upright bass.

Lovers of honest, old-school blues and roots - real instruments played by real people! - should not miss this important new EP.

In The Wind review by Blues Underground Network
Country with a little bit of Blues. Not much info on this EP but sounds like it was recorded live. The tunes are pretty nice, but are like I said, flavored more with Country than the Blues. Ron's previous album as Ron Campbell & the bLUES bUSTERS called Bust Out! was fabulous and I look forward to more of that style of album from Ron Campbell in the future. Although "In The Wind" contained 5 well written and performed songs, it seemed a bit disappointing, especially after such a strong previous release. John Vermilyea (Blues Underground Network)
