Album Notes
In 2003, Ron collaborated with pianist/producer Gary Farr working on his own smooth jazz CD, Up All Night. In 2004, Secret Formula Records released 'Up All Night' which skyrocketed into the smooth jazz radio charts and 9 tracks aired on national and international TV. Ron has been working on this long awaited CD, off and on, for 3 years bringing back Gary as pianist, arranger and producer, Zoltan Grof on trumpet and his cousin, guitarist John Bauer. Ron will be performing his new release in the South Florida area in 2013-14. This creative multi-talented saxophonist/composer performed with such stars as Bing Crosby, Shirley Bassey, Steve Lawrence, Edie Gorme, Hal Linden, Joan Rivers, Mitzi Gaynor, Julio Iglesias, Celia Cruz, Rodney Dangerfield, Milton Berle, Henny Youngman, Olga Guillo, Willie Chirino, Lissette, Lola Flores, Iris Chacon, Susy Leman, Robert Carlos, Tony Orlando & Dawn, Vicki Carr, Peter Allen and Eddie Arnold. By the 1980's he backed up Desi Arnez, The Temptations and jazz giants Ira Sullivan, Joe Diorio and Eddie Daniels. From 1981-83 Ron went on 'sold out' concert tours with El Puma. In 1980, he opened a recording studio in South Florida (Star Track Recording). Ron started recording with SFR indie label and pianist Gary Farr on several jazz CD's from 2000.
Last year, SF Records pre-released two tracks for TV placement on NBC. #1 Spirit and track #3 You're Always Around aired on NBC's Weather Channel. This was a great gauge of things to come for this new CD release.
Ron will be performing his new CD live starting in South Florida. More dates will be added into 2014. Visit his web sites for more info.
