Album Notes
Ron, I can remember the first time i heard you play at The Bend Community Center for SAC many, many years ago. I was impressed by your talents then but over the years I feel you’ve developed your gifts to a depth and breadth that matches or exceeds any professional singer on the popular music scene today.
I’m certainly not an expert in music but ‘as your biggest fan’ I find your arrangements and mixing sublime. There’s something about your voice that is so comfortable and soothing. Maybe because we’re close in age. I also find your preference and choice of songs very closely matches my own. When I’m bored with most of my CD’s, I know i can always pop one of yours in my player and enjoy every track.
I love your version of ‘The Boxer’ (one of my favorite songs), ‘If i Were a Carpenter’ and ‘Hero’ and i can’t help but sing along with you to ‘Shoot’n the Moon’, a song that always gets my foot tapping and my face smiling. I consider ‘One World’ one of the best songs you have ever written and arranged and i was thrilled to be able to help out in the background vocals. ‘Blood of Eden’ simply blows me away and literally gives me chills and brings me to tears every time i hear you singing “...a moment of forgetting, a moment of bliss....ahhhhhh”. I am not sure why it touches me so but i believe it’s because you put yourself so fully into that moment that i can feel your complete and absolute surrender to it.
And last but not least. I was so honored at my 60th birthday party by you presenting me with the song ‘Dream it All Again’. That was such an amazing gift and i can’t begin to tell you how much i cherish it.

Ron Meyers is one of the most compellingly honest artists I have heard in a very long time. His open heart is grounded with kindness and reminds me of who i am and why i am here. His voice is precious and his production stellar.

Honest, Gifted, Deep and Revealing, the music of master musician Ron Meyers opens the heart, heals the mind and soothes the soul. Do yourself a favor, sit down, relax and listen for a few minutes. You will find new insight and inspiration for our journey.

I enjoyed the CD Magic Child. It was a beautiful arrangement... so different from any thing on the market today. The words were very deep and meaningful and the music had a tone and style unlike anything that i have heard. It has a futuristic sound. I honestly feel that you are into something and i would not be surprised if becomes a hit.

Hi Ron, I have been listening to ‘Touch the Soul’ CD in the car ever since it arrived. Today was the first time Harvey had a chance to hear it. You have done a wonderful job on this new album. Harvey is very impressed with your ability to stir his emotions. Harvey was very moved by your singing, he could understand the words and feeling you expressed in all the songs but especially in the ones you have written. The song ‘Morning Sun’ brought tears to his eyes. Of the songs you wrote my favorite is ‘Crystal Waters’. I have always felt we looked at the world through a mirror and not a window. My very favorite song on the album is ‘Sweet Misery’. I love the way you sing it and always repeat it when it plays.
Clarice & Harvey Dension

I am at this moment listening to your wonderful CD, ‘Magic Child’. As you know from talking with Bill, I LOVE IT! It struck such a cord with me. I can not tell you how much it means to me. The 1st track ‘magic child’ is great. You made a difference for me. Tesi Anderson

I’m impressed by the fact that you look quite like Phil in your younger pictures. You’ve managed to put together quite a good CD, especially for someone who never tried before. Congratulations,
Sonny Ochs - Sister to Phi Ochs a famous protest folk singer of the sixties who i sang with in South America in 1971.

How Ron’s Music Touches Me
The first time i heard the song ‘Fields of Gold’ it was Ron’s recording. And later after hearing the popular version by Sting on the radio, I found that i liked Ron’s rendition much better. From that time on, whenever i compared Ron’s version of a song to the ones that were ‘popular’ hit songs, the result was always the same. Ron’s arrangements were clearly my personal favorites. Thank you Ron for bringing your gift of soul to me in your music
