Here’s what others say about A Love So Strong:

• Steve Pringle, Host of The Sunday Night Blues Room, 101.9 KINK FM: This new one from Rose City Kings is their strongest by far…soaring vocals, great lyrics and an amazing guitarist in Dan Berkery who redirects the spotlight to shine on the entire band and when you’ve got the likes of Jimi Bott on drums, Steve Kerin on keys and David Lipkind on the harp, it’s a move that’s well received. Rose City Kings is for freakin’ real!
• Dave Johnson, host of the nationally-syndicated Blues Deluxe radio program: A Love So Strong is an album SO strong, with plenty of authentic and in-depth blues, showcasing the incredible talent and depth of the Rose City Kings!
• Jonathan "Oogie" Richards, Host of Mighty Mouth Blues Show, NWCZ Radio: This is a polished recording that is well produced with elements of Soul, R&B & Gospel that is well balanced from start to finish. This will have broad appeal to Blues Fans who enjoy a tasty Blues Stew with some fine ingredients that we’ve come to expect from the Chefs at Rose City Kings to serve up! Get you a ladle full and share with your friends & neighbors!!
• Biggdaddy Ray Hansen, Blues Therapy Radio Show: One of my musical wishes has been fulfilled. The Rose City Kings are together again and their new CD A Love So Strong is truly worth waiting for. Dan Berkery is back and he’s back with a vengeance. A Love So Strong features BMA winning drummer Jimi Bott as well as the band who can claim multiple Muddy Awards to their credits. Welcome back fellas!
• Greg Johnson, Cascade Blues Association (one of the oldest and largest blues associations): Always an exceptional songwriter with a knack for catchy, sing-along, and danceable tunes, Berkery steps right back into the fold with a new collection of material every bit as fun and exciting as before....Very Much Recommended.
• Hershel Yatovitz, Lead Guitarist for Chris Isaak, Music Producer: A Love So Strong is an album rich with soul, energy and emotion. It’s a seamless mix of many flavors of essential American roots music, somehow woven into a contemporary and fresh experience. The bluesy grooves shake you to the bone, and the writing and performances hit you right in the heart. Rose City Kings just keep getting mightier.
