Album Notes
Keeping It Alive is a bold statement of intent from the UK's no.1 festival Bhangra favourites. Eschewing the sample laden, pitch corrected, over processed approach so common these days, RSVP have chosen to only use real instruments and play completely live. The result is an exhilarating gig on a record. It's no coincidence that their sound has been compared to The Clash! Now give me some of that Punk n Bhangra!

Track 1. PATOLA (Bhangra-Soca Rap Lyrics)
More beautiful than an angel, she sets your heart alight. No-one can resist her; she's like dynamite.

Track 2. ONGLA (Bhangra-Folk Dance)
The young maiden dances with bells on her shoes and her jewelled anklets ring in harmony. She's got all the men dancing like puppets on a string.

Track 3. MUTIYAR (Rock Bhangra Funk Dance Rap Lyrics)
The price of love cannot be weighed and sold. Everyone needs to find love some day, but laugh and enjoy life because no one knows when love will come into your life. She is sweeter than the sweetest dessert and the prettiest of all women. I don’t know which way to turn. I may as well become a Fakir.

Track 4. P.J.D (Bhangra Folk Dance Funk Reggae)
The son's of Punjab walk with are courageous, loyal and brave. They walk with pride and respect!

Track 5. ENGLISH BEAT (Bhangra mento-skaa Reggae Rap Lyrics)
Whether in a club or the fields of Punjab, when you hear the Dhol meet the English Beat, you will be dancing all night!

Track 6. GIDDEH VICH (Bhangra Rock-Folk Gypsy Jazz)
As she dances, she stamps the ground so hard with her heels that it's like an earthquake. Even the moon and heavens come out to take a peek and ask “Where did you get such beauty”?

Track 7. BOLIYAN (Bhangra Folk Drum n Bass Rap Lyrics)
Is a traditional style of singing, where singers compete with each for the pride of their local village.

Track 8. BINSKANKIN' / MANEA / AH YA BIBI (Bhangra Folk Gypsy Jazz)
A set of tunes to practise your Bhangra moves to. The first one was written by Cris, and the second two are traditional Romani dance tunes from Transylvania, which we collected along life's road. Mishto!

Track 9. VEKH LEH (Bhangra Folk Dance)
Watch out! Make way, ladies! Here come the Punjabi lads dancing Bhangra. Throw your hands in the air and sing with us!
