Album Notes
This album – Russell’s debut – is a blend of strong vocal lead with great melodies and touching lyrics. Each song is memorable, from the title track “Child of God” – a beautiful tribute to his mum who died of cancer in 2004 – to the closing track “Come to me” – an encouragement for people to take serious the promise of Jesus that He will give us rest. There are great ballads like “Everything”, which received an honourable mention in the 11th Annual Billboard World Song Contest and was a semi-finalist in this year's UK Songwriting Contest, and “Sometimes”, which also reached the semi-finals of the 2005 UK Songwriting Contest. There are also songs communicating Russell’s own faith like “Your Grace is all I need”, “For God so loved the world” and “Be still and know” - which was a finalist in this year's UK Songwriting Contest. Other songs on the album are inspired by his family – “Bethany’s Song” and “All you can be”.

This is an album which people of all ages will be able to enjoy and appreciate and if you like big ballads and piano based songs then you’ll love it. You’re likely to throw up if you’re a death metal or Marilyn Manson fan, so be warned!
