Album Notes
“The Errant Night” reflects and commemorates the wonderfully joyful, and sometimes challenging, journey of being together as a band for 10 years – touring and traveling, recording and collaborating, pounding the pavement and daring to dream, the coming and going of musicians and the embracing our varied styles to come together and create something new.
We wanted this project to capture and celebrate the excitement and determination of striving to create something larger than ourselves, and the sheer joy of collaborating with the dearest of friends.
While we hope that its result shares a bit of each one of us, we have found that it is in the sum of our parts that we truly shine.

This album, also, symbolizes a changing of the guard for the band as we embark on the next chapter. Maggie and Zach White have been with RUNA for several years and have helped us continue to push its musical boundaries.
They have shared their expertise with the heart of this album and their contributions will lay a creative foundation as they pass the torch to our new RUNA family members, Caleb Edwards and Jake James, to explore exciting new roads ahead!

In celebration of all of the musicians who have been a part of RUNA over the past 10 years and to show our deep gratitude for their indescribable friendship and their boundless artistry, it has been a true privilege to invite them all to join us together on a special Alumni set for this album. It has been a wonderful reunion of sorts! We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we have enjoyed creating it!

We are deeply honoured to collaborate with some incredible guest artists on this album, all of whom we are lucky to call our friends. Their generosity and talents truly lift us. Each and every one of them inspires us to be better musicians and human beings.

To all of our RUNAtics, words cannot express how humbled we continue to be by your inspiration over the past decade and the unending love and support that makes all of this possible.

On a previous album, we included the famous quote from Robert Frost, “Two roads diverged in a wood and I, I took the one less traveled by and that has made all the difference.” Little could we have known ten years ago just how significant a difference this musical venture would make in all of our lives, and we are truly grateful for it.
