Album Notes
Rustflower brings together the unique sound and song writing abilities of Pete and Kerrie Arthur.

Light and dark, rough and smooth, pop and folk, country and rock, Rustflower is a band that crosses borders both emotionally and physically.

Long time partners and musical collaborators, Pete and Kerrie to this time have pursued their music careers apart. Pete in his folk rock outfit Junior has released 3 albums, toured Australia extensively and toured to the US and Europe.

Kerrie released her solo album in 2001 and has toured Australia as both a lead and backing vocalist.

Recording their Debut CD “Need Somebody” in 2006, Rustflower called on Greg Arnold as producer and bass player, Billy Rankine and Steve Pederson on electric guitars and Paul Lewis on drums.

Now adding in Curtis McKay on bass and following a successful tour in 2008, Rustflower are recording their follow-up CD “Long Road Home” due for release in April 2009. This album sees the band exploring their country rock leanings even further and is full of songs that explore the landscape of our lives.

Whilst the heart of Rustflower is with the full band shows, Pete and Kerrie have found themselves in remote locations many times and have performed acoustically from Darwin and Timber Creek right down the track through Mintabie and Marla back to Adelaide.

With earthy, honest and passionate songs, Rustflower take you on a journey from intimate moments to energetic, rockin’ country.

Pete’s voice, rough, edgy and expressive; Kerrie’s timeless, warm and inviting.

A Rustflower gig will get under your skin, get you singing and thinking.
