Born in Ohio, the youngest and only son out of seven sisters, Rusty began singing and playing music at the age of seven after his godfather gave him his first guitar. When an unfortunate accident left him blind for at 16, his talents surfaced. His guitar as his only companion, he learned to play entirely by ear and emotion. When his sight was mysterious and miraculously restored, he continued to play with an acute ear. As a Producer, Rusty's has produced many artists (ten to date) who have gone on to achieve record label contracts.
In Nashville, he has performed at Tootsie's, The Bluebird Cafe, the Hall of Fame with Debi Champion and Jim Mcbride, and as a feature performer at The Broken Spoke.
At this time, Rusty's songs are being played and requested all over the world. In the U.S., Rusty made the Music Row charts with "Can't Let Her Go." With a classic barritone voice and music that ranges from ballads to bluegrass, "Back in Nashville" offers something for every music fan.
Rusty boasts over 300 interviews from radio stations across the U.S. and abroad, including a half hour interview with Larry Profitt from KORC 820 AM in Waldport, Oregon, and an in-house live interview with D.J./Producer Jay Allen from Window Rock Arizona where he has Rusty at 12+ spins a week. His 11 song CD, "Back in Nashville,"was produced by George Clinton at Bayou Recording who has worked with such names as Toby Keith, Trace Adkins, Shania Twain, Sammy Kershaw, and many more.

I heard "Can't Let Her Go" on the radio. He's got a great voice!
The CD is great for traveling because I like all the songs, and don't have to keep pushing buttons or switch radio stations like I normally do. A cup of coffee and Rusty Gordon and I'm ready for the road!

Outstanding CD- a very refreshing change from the usual fare
This is a must have CD. It is rare when excellent songwriting, musicianship and engineering all come together at one time on one CD. Every song is like that.
This is one CD you will find yourself wanting to listening to several times at one sitting. Like eating Lay's potato chips, you won't be satisfied with listening just one time through.

Wonderful, easy listening, entertaining
I don't understand why this young man is not at the top of the charts. He sounds like he sings from his heart and enjoys what he is doing. What a great talent!!!!

Excellent lyrics, beautiful music, songs you will remember!
What a combination - lyrics that speak to the heart and soul of any listener plus a voice as pleasant and any I have ever heard. You know a good song when you hum the tune for the rest of the day - memorable. Very glad I bought this CD. I predict this album will hit the charts nation wide.
