Hats Off A Tribute To Eddy Arnold

by Royal Wade Kimes

Please understand, the Eddy Arnold Tribute which features the Jordanairs of Elvis background harmony, could and would not be released unless it met that kind of standard. Radio Cincinnati called it an impossible work of art.

Album Notes
Up until now, I've always let my manager or someone in the business write about my records. This one... not so. You see I worked with and was groomed by the late Eddy Arnold. I loved the man. He was a gentleman's gentleman. He loved three things dearly, a good joke, a good love song, and his lovely bride Sally. It was when she said goodbye to him, and the world, that... well, I knew he would be leaving to. He called me on the phone and my heart almost stopped when I heard him say... "Wade, I have a broken heart." I knew then, he was telling me goodbye.
But, he left us all a collection of love songs that will live on until the end of time. He knew I was recording the tribute and was pleased. I wanted to finish it before his leaving, but it wasn't to be. Nine of the songs on this record are his love songs, one I wrote. If you don't know the music of the late Eddy Arnold, whether you purchase this record or not, look up his work, his songs, you'll be glad you did.
Well, I guess that about covers what I wanted to say about this record and Eddy. I hope I meet you sometime. Please don't be afraid to speak to me, some people are. I would love to meet you, and if we do... let me know you read this.
Ridin' away, Royal Wade Kimes.

Outstanding Album
This has got to be one of the best albums RWK has done. A wonderful tribute to one of my favorite singers, by one of my favorite singers.

Thanks for a good one, RWK
