Album Notes
Guitarist and band-leader Ryan Fourt has been a fixture on the Colorado jazz scene for over a decade and steps into his own with his second release, Big Slick. The album features Fourt's compositional prowess as well as his ear for re-working standards both old and new. Alongside Fourt on his latest effort are fellow Denver musicians Peter Sommer, Annie Booth, Matt Smiley, and Ed Breazeale, all of who shine throughout the album and bring Fourt's music to life with an elegance and precision that has become a hallmark of the "Colorado Sound" - Ryan currently performs around the country and is a lecturer at the University of Wyoming in Laramie.
