Album Notes
The village that they call The Moy in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, may be where Award-Winning Singer/Songwriter Ryan Kelly resides, but he's just as comfortable calling the studio and stage home. He began his love affair with music and performing early on in his life, and he's remained faithful to his first love ever since.

Ryan started singing publically at age seven, taught himself to play the guitar around age thirteen and began writing his own music not long after. He joined a well known local band, and won a place as a finalist in the National BBC Television "Country Cool" competition-where he placed second in the finals. Ryan's performed live with West Life, Girls Aloud and Simply Red in the "Children In Need" televised charity concert at the Odyssey in Belfast, sung the US National Anthem for his beloved Boston Celtics, and has performed at the Pentagon and for the US President and his family at the White House.

In January of 2012, Ryan was honoured to be nominated for and win the 2011 award for "Top Solo Performer in Concert" from the Irish Music Association.

Ryan's talents don't end with his phenomenal musical abilities. He is also an accomplished actor. He's taken on roles such as that of Mickey Johnstone in the musical "Blood Brothers" and Judas Iscariot in "Jesus Christ Superstar" to much success and praise. This brought Ryan to a new chapter in his musical journey- recording and touring as one of the stars of the highly successful, platinum and multi-gold selling musical show, "Celtic Thunder". Performing with "Celtic Thunder" has allowed Ryan to showcase both his acting and singing abilities to audiences all across North America, Australia, Europe and beyond. His ability to transform onstage and make the songs he performs completely his own, have garnered him a large and loyal following. The audience's enthusiasm for his performances fuel his own onstage and make for a night no one soon forgets, and he enjoys every moment of it- "It's clichéd, but music is my life. It's what makes me happy and I feel blessed to be able to call this my job."

Ryan developed his wide range of musical tastes from a lifetime filled with varied influences- from traditional Irish songs and folk ballads, to acoustic to rock to showtunes- and he combined them all into his own distinctive style, showcased on his highly successful debut album release, "In Time".

"Life" is his much anticipated and long awaited follow-up album to "In Time" and brings listeners on a journey that spans both time and the globe to share stories that reach the corners of the heart and inspire the soul through worldwide musical flavors and his own smoky vocals. Ryan's carefully crafted lyrics are meant to bring hope and healing, to share life's pain and joys, to uplift and encourage; and he combines them with soft piano, soaring strings, pop/rock guitars, perfectly blended background vocals, and an amazing array of global musical instruments to make the songs come to life. Ryan dedicated this album to all of his family, friends and his ever-increasing fanbase:
"This isn't just my album, it's dedicated to ALL of you who have given so much to me. You've taught me one of the greatest lessons I'll ever learn. We only get one shot at being in this world so, as the song goes, always: "Live for Life..."

Ryan Kelly's LIFE - You'll laugh, cry, sing, and dance!
Ryan Kelly's LIFE is just that - an album about Life - the ups and downs, the trials, heartaches, hopes, dreams, and celebrations. It’s Ryan’s second album, and he has written most of the songs on LIFE. The songs on LIFE are inspiring, original, meaningful, and thought-provoking, each with a unique story to tell. The album is a compilation of wonderful melodies and lyrics that range from the hauntingly beautiful and sad to relaxing to hopeful, uplifting, and fun. I absolutely love listening to these songs, all of them, as Ryan sings them from his heart with such passion and purpose. Each song is different and easy to listen to. Ryan Kelly is a talented artist with a uniquely beautiful voice which is down to earth, strong and masculine, yet soothing and comforting, and it touches my soul. I never tire of listening to this CD or that wonderful voice. LIFE is for REAL – the songs are real, the voice is real, the artist is Real. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll sing, and you’ll dance. And, the lyrics come with the CD. You'll absolutely LOVE this CD. I HIGHLY recommend it.

I Love "Life"
Reportedly there are men in this world who have difficulty expressing their feelings. One man who not only eloquently expresses his feelings but then puts them to music is Ryan Kelly. His first solo CD, "In Time", demonstrates his facility with both words and music. I enjoy it very much. His most recent CD, "Life", is even more striking. The arrangements, sometimes using accompanying musicians, are polished and exciting. Ryan's warm, smoky vocal quality and his heartfelt presentations are perfect for the stories he tells. From the somber, tear inducing "And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda" which describes the horrors of war to the upbeat, sexy "Samba", to Ryan's own "My American Dream" which tells of an immigrant's experience in the U.S., to "Poison from Afar", a tale of betrayal by a trusted loved one that rocked the writer's soul, Ryan is the consummate story teller. Other songs on this CD range from the wistful, "From the Very Front Row" to the introspective, " We're Significant", to the exuberant, "Live for Life", which could easily be the theme song for the next Olympic games. One of my favorite songs on the CD is "Where I Belong", a lively, happy homage to the composer/singer's hometown and to the friends and family there that he loves. It is a song that makes me smile and sing along.

I've listened to this CD almost daily over the months I've had it. The music on it makes me think, it makes me feel and it makes me smile. Quite a lot for one CD. I truly love, "Life". Thank you Ryan Kelly for this remarkable CD and for sharing yourself with your listeners.

Live for Life
I love Ryan's cd "Life". It's full of his wonderful storytelling of life's ups and downs. There's stories of relationships, loves lost and found, and self journeys of the human spirit that can triumph and succeed through life's obstacles, lessons and the beauty that is found with living each day to the fullest. Ryan's stories come to life with his wonderful lyrics, and our feelings are stirred by the creative music, arrangements and at times special sound effects, such as the sounds of children playing in the background. And then there's Ryan's voice, that makes us feel safe and comforted and that we can overcome anything life throws at us. His heart and soul shine through as he includes us all on this wonderful journey of his "Life".

Ryan Kelly, "LIFE"
Ryan Kelly’s new album, “LIFE” is on my mind today. I’ve replayed the sample tracks time and again, wrapping myself in the words, music and amazing voice of Ryan Kelly. Everything I’ve heard is masterfully done, a truly unique voice blended with glorious instruments! I knew his next work would be remarkable, but it exceeds my expectations! I’m absolutely smitten by what he’s done with the inspirations from his life. Knowing a little of what he’s experienced in recent years makes these songs all the more poignant. One can imagine what might have inspired the lyrics and the passion in his voice when he sings them. It’s much more than entertainment, this album is courageous and insightful, confronting pain, anger, regret and sorrow—and then triumphing over it! It also rejoices in the loves and pleasures of life and gets the listener celebrating! Ryan Kelly really “gets” life and makes ALL of it count for something, and not just for himself, but for people around him. The samples are amazing—the entire album is going to blow us away! I pre-ordered the moment it was available and I can’t wait to have it!
