soulsearing, whip-snap sexmusique....
I loved the first album by St. Eve, it was one of the only discs I could play over and over continuously without tiring of it. This album surpasses any and all watermarks left by the first. It's fresh, hard-hitting, catchy, and woven through every ounce of it is Gabrielle's irrepressible sex-syrup vocal alchemy. If you can get through this whole disc without having secret thoughts of unspeakable ecstacies, then you're a better man (or woman) than I...

A classic
If you love dark electronic music with evil vocals you're love this CD. Play it loud !!

Beautiful, sexy, powerful music
I loved Saint Eve's EP "Demonstration" and couldn't wait for a full-length CD. "Elixir" does not disappoint. It's beautifully produced and I love the new version of my favorite song "No Human Words." The lyrics to this song give me goosebumps.

a smashing, life-altering event
I fell head over heels with Saint Eve many moons ago and have to say that the wait for this CD has WELL been worth it. Now if I can pry it away from my wife, all will be well! Such creative genuis should be shared with all!

Great second album
This is an amazing secon release by St. Eve. I loved the first disc, but this one immediately surpassed it with production value alone. I absolutely love the remake of No Human Words also. Can't wait for their next release! I need more by this band;)

Overall the CD is awesome. Track 3 is my favorite. It gives a little bit of everything. melodic and beautiful.

Wow Wow Wow!
Each of the tracks is delectable, distinct, and multi-faceted, reminding me of nothing more than a gourmet dish from Chef David Bouley with a perfect wine pairing.

The sound production is superb; a beautiful balance between slick and raw. The Bowie comparison is very accurate, some of the cuts are reminiscent of his 1992 album "Earthling".

As a composer, St. Eve is terrific, choosing very tasty chord progressions throughout. I actually hate most albums I hear, and so was shocked to find myself wanting to listen to her albums over again. My current favorites on this album are "Spring Cleaning" and "One Day".

As a lyricist, she is insightful and humorous, personal and profound. Her vocal performances are superlative, and the range of timbres is astounding. In some pieces she sounds like a seasoned cabaret singer such as Ute Lemper, in others there are flavors of Kate Bush and Grace Slick. In all cases her interpretive choices are strong and effective.

I recommend her "Demonstration" album just as highly.

Love your art...
Beautiful and dark, scarry but passionate, sweet but poisonous...
"While the City Sleeps" is my favourite.
