Album Notes
This project features a great representation of the range of song selections heard weekly at Saint Mark Baptist Church, Little Rock, Arkansas. Audiences around the country have raved about the "Saint Mark Experience" from competitions like the How Sweet the Sound choir competition, all the way to the White House in Washington, D.C.

"If I had one word to express what I just felt ... not what I heard ... it was confidence. In a night when most of us are looking for [an upbeat song with clapping], you guys took your time and blessed us with a hymn. It was like you were pouring oil over this audience. Somebody out there got healed off of that one song. That was confidence in the Holy Ghost. Good job, good job."
Fred Hammond, Judge, How Sweet the Sound 2010 National Finale

Comprised of approximately 75 voices, the Saint Mark Sanctuary Choir is under the direction of Mr. Darius Nelson. The choir serves a congregation of 8,000, regularly singing at three Sunday morning worship services, as well as special events. Their repertoire includes a variety of gospel music, including contemporary favorites, churchy spirituals and traditional hymns. With a spirit of excellence, the choir’s primary focus is ministering in a way that both praises and pleases the Lord. With a spirit of excellence, the choir ministers with the objective of both praising and pleasing the Lord.
