Album Notes
About Sally Barris

Nashville-based artist and Wrensong Publishing writer, Sally Barris, has managed to be successful in the mainstream world of country music without giving up her folk & Celtic roots.
Her unique style, influenced by artists such as: Dolores Kane, Tony Rice, Dougie Maclean, Triona Ni Dhomhnaill & Richard Thompson, is what makes her stand out in a city known for “cookie cutter” talent. Whether in her own hands or those of a well-established artist, such as, Lee Ann Womack, or a newcomer like American Idol finalist, Kellie Pickler, Sally’s music is unmistakably recognizable.
Some catalog highlights include: “Reluctant Daughter” (Martina McBride), “Some Things I Know” (Lee Ann Womack), “I’m On My Way” (Kellie Pickler), “The Innocent Years” (Kathy Mattea) and “Honesuckle Sweet” (Jessi Alexander) which appeared in the Miramax film An Unfinished Life.
The Minnesota native is currently in the studio working on her 3rd album, a collection she’s referring to as “songs from the Celtic woman”. "My first love is folk music, especially folk songs from the U.K.”, she says. “After touring solo for years in England, I felt it was high time to start being who I really am – a folk singer!” Look for Restless Soul available Nov. 2007.

Also available: Little Voice (2004) and Reluctant Daughter (1999).

This CD is great. Each time I listen to it, I like it better. Each song is like a journey for my soul.

One of my favorite CD's ever
This CD is magical, the songs take me places, I feel transported in time, as if I'm in the middle of a really good book. Driving home in the middle of the night, and listening to the first cut on the CD, I found myself fulfilling her destiny, as I realized I would come to love these songs I know by heart. You might never have heard of Sally Barris, but I can bet you'll never forget her after listening to this CD.

A Great CD for my collection!
I fell in love with her voice the first time I heard Sally's first CD, Reluctant Daughter. Little Voice should be named the Voice of An Angel!! Wow!

Unbelievable voice and lyrics.
Nomally I wouldn't listen to Sally's style of music, but when I found out she was writing and singing from her mom, I ordered her first CD. I just received 'Little Voice', and I have to say her two CDs are two of my all time favorites. She has made me appreciate folk/bluegrass music for the first time. I hope it is not another five years before Sally's next CD. Thank you for singing at my wedding 22 years ago Sally...God Bless You!

Beautiful, insightful original music
This is, pure and simply, a wonderful album. Finely crafted, finely observed songs, performed passionately, beautifully sung and with great musical backing. This is a real talent. I saw Sally Barris years ago as an opening act and have since gotten both her CDs. It's been great to see her continue to write and sing so well, and I hope to get to see her perform again.

The Quality Of A Star!
When I listen to Sally's music for the first time, I wondered how come she hasn't been signed by a major record label. Beautiful voice plus some very good songs equal one excellent CD!
