Sally Mayes with guest performances by Brent Barrett and Boyd Gaines. Musical Direction and arrangements by Dick Gallagher. This exciting album looks at the ‘various stages of love’ by using a mix of songs that were cut from Broadway musicals before they opened plus some brand new compositions in their first recording. Composers and lyricists include; Stephen Sondheim, John Kander, Fred Ebb, Cy Coleman, Jerry Herman, Richard Rodgers, Oscar Hammerstein 2nd, Jule Styne, David Shire, Richard Maltby Jnr., Jerry Bock, Sheldon Harnick, Betty Comden, Adolph Green, Harold Arlen, E.Y. Harburg, Leroy Anderson, Andrew Lippa, Carol Hall and Amanda McBroom.
