ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Salon de la Guerre’s first symphony, “Gravitas: A Life,” is a long-form musical piece that was created on a smartphone but has orchestral ambitions. The symphony is broken into 16 instrumental passages offering the musical soundtrack for the life of a fictional character named Gravitas. The work, composed entirely on an iPhone 6, is a pastiche of classical music approaches such as concerto grosso, atonality, musique concrete and minimalism that also incorporates rock 'n' roll and jazz. The work was composed and arranged by Eric Randolph Rasmussen at his home studio. Piano and synthesizer performances by Eric Randolph Rasmussen.
