ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Salon de la Guerre is the garage rock/punk no-wave/pop experimental/electronic musical project of writer Eric Randolph Rasmussen. The website Divide and Conquer says, "Salon de la Guerre is an artist who not only puts out an insane amount of music but changes it up."

On his most recent outing, Rasmussen goes unabashedly in a pop direction with salsa and reggae accents to examine the idea of a Caribbean utopia that people make into their own hell. Yet "In the Lake of Feral Mermaids" features radio-ready fare such as "The Lighthouse Widow," "Little Lo" and "Dreaming With Numb Legs."

Written, performed and produced by Eric Randolph Rasmussen. Cover art by Corey B. Sanders.

Divide and Conquer said of Salon de la Guerre's last album, "The Church of Low Expectations," it's "as diverse as anything he has put out yet he still manages to be bound by a willingness to take chances where many others won’t."
