Album Notes
Recorded live at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul in Boston, the pieces on this album are a conversation between violin and piano through the rich landscape of the Celtic spirit.

"...the tunes that many would expect to hear in the environment of a traditional pub session are transformed with a classical touch to the realms of the violin and piano in the able hands of Samantha Gillogly and Tim Maurice... The mixture of subtle to profound and the crossover in tempo makes this a must buy for lovers of both classical and Celtic traditional."

A Great Chamber Session
Samantha and Tim have moved these tunes from the pub to the concert hall without losing anything in the translation. I downloaded this album, pulled out my whistles and spent the rest of the evening playing along. It was as much fun as any folk session I've been to and I could almost feel both Carolan and Mozart smiling over my shoulder. Set #7 (King of the Faeries/TheWarlocks/The Butterfly) was a special delight. I hope it doesn't take them too long to do another one.
