ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Music is more than a passion for Sam Grow. “Music is natural therapy. It can help you through hard times and be a sound track for happy times. My music is very honest. I sing about life, love, and heartbreak and a lot o people can relate to that.”

Raised in a musical family, Grow began singing in church at age five. By the time he was ten years old, Grow was already penning his own lyrics. Inspired by his father and sister who played the piano, he taught himself to play guitar, bass, piano, and drums. Sam Cooke and Elvis Presley were clear influences and a young Grow injects that soul into many genres spanning Rock, Pop, Gospel, Blues, Jazz and Country—all prevalent in Sam’s music. Great songwriting abilities combined with a knack for relating to his audience, and musical skills that are more than excellent, mean this 21-year-old Southern Maryland born artist is forging a path to musical success.

The Sam Grow Band Live at Goose Creek is a high-energy recording of the band's showcase performance in Northern Virginia's Goose Creek Live concert series. The performance was recorded with multiple camera video and soundtracked with multi-track digital audio. Videos of the show have been broadcast on local television channels throughout Northern Virginia and the metro Washington DC area.
