Far Across the Night Sky

Far Across the Night Sky is a fresh, positive and uplifting single that fits comfortably within the singer-songwriter tradition. It would also be equally comfortable as soundtrack music for a film and/or Disney production etc.

Album Notes
'Far Across the Night Sky' is my debut single as an independent singer-songwriter. I am an experienced primary school educator and have worked in Hong KOng since 2007. I love writing new songs and music as a hobby for all audiences from children's educational songs to drama to acosutic to rock and so on.

Many people have said that this song has a Disney-like style to it especially with its references to Peter Pan and Neverland. The song is about endless possibilities, never ever growing old, always believing in your dreams and living for today. It is also about being positive as we sail on the ocean of life and face its myriad challenges and opportunities.

All of my songs fit comfortably within the singer-songwriter tradition with clear pop / soft rock / folk and country influences and artists as diverse as James Taylor, Jason Mraz, Jose Gonzalez, Jack Johnson, Gerry Rafferty, Jim Croce, Paul Simon and Ed Sheeran to name a few.

All guitar/vocals - Samuel Alexander Barbour
Recorded at AYM Studios, Hong Kong with Fion Ip & Anthony Yeung
