Album Notes
A.R.S. Trio was formed in 2013 in Dubai, UAE. Samvel Gasparyan, Artur Grigoryan and Roni Afif became its members. The trio has had many performances in the country and abroad since that.

Samvel Gasparyan (Piano, El. organ, Composer) – was born in Yerevan, a graduate of Yerevan State Conservatory, played in many jazz-groups in Yerevan, was a pianist of the State Jazz-Orchestra of Armenia, (band leader-Armen Martirosyan) for several years. Performed in many international festivals in CIS and the Western countries. He is a holder of Montreaux Jazz Festival-2012 Award and Nottingham Jazz Piano Competition-2011 Award. His performance could be listened in 7 albums of Westerns Jazz Stars. He had resided in USA since 2003, and resides and works in Dubai, UAE at present.

Artur Grigoryan (Alt Saxophone, Composer) – was born in Yerevan, a graduate of Yerevan State Conservatory, played in ethno-jazz-rock sextet “Art Voices” (Grand-Prix of European Jazz Festival in Bucharest, Romania), jazz-rock septet “Katuner”, Jazz-Orchestra of the Public Radio and Television (band leader - Yervand Yerznkya)n and the State Jazz-Orchestra of Armenia. He resides in Dubai, UAE during the last years, plays there in several jazz-bands, participates in festivals and large jazz shows.

Roni Afif (drums) – was born in Beirut, Lebanon, and is one of the most popular and active drummer in the Middle East. He played with different collectives in Indonesia, India, Belgium and the eastern countries. He played with Bobby McFerrin, Phil Abraham, Ziad Rahbani, Bill Saxton and other famous musicians. As a leader and member of different groups he participated in such prestigious festivals as Java Jazz Festival, Abu Dhabi jazz Festival, Dubai Jazz Festival, WOMAD Abu Dhabi ….. Roni Afif is the endorser of TAMA Drums Company.
