ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Haqeeqat is Sandeep Chatterjee ’s new album being released in July 2014. After his debut album" Khwab "he took almost 2 years to come up with Haqeeqat but looks like he had reserved his best for this album.
There are a total of 11 tracks in this album and Sandeep show his diverse skills as a Lyricist , Composer and Singer in “ Haqeeqat”.
Sandeep is known for electrifying performances on stage but deep inside his love for soft music and emotional singing is evident in this album.
A combination of romantic melodies , soul searching ghazals to melodies set to hindustani classical music , he shows it all in this album -his truly versatile capabilities as a singer and composer.
His album is further enhanced by the music arrangement by his friend Annadaprasanna Pattnaik ( Flute Butto ) whose soulful rendition of flute is another attraction of this album. The two female songs in this album are sung by Kakoli who shows her true capability as a singer in handling soft songs and classical melodies with ease .
The whole recording including instruments recording , voice dubbing ,mixing was done in record 4 days at Parekh Studio Bangalore , thanks to the effort by the music arranger who made special efforts to create the
skeletal work beforehand.

The unique selling point for this album is its lyrics where each song is treated as a masterpiece reflecting Sandeep’s ability in understanding human emotions.
The stunning lyrics has been further enhanced by the beautiful melodies .
At times he is seen as a lover in dilemma who is unable to express his love and moments later he is seen as a passionate lover willing to take his love to an unknown destination far from the maddening crowd.
Sometimes he is seen as a friend who is dismayed and hurt by his friends and their lack of shared excitement in his success and in another song he sings as a wounded lover enjoying the painful journey of his betrayed feelings. In Songs like “ Ik Nayi Subah “ he is seen as a wanderer looking for a path which will lead him to his destination reflecting a close association with spiritual stages in Sufi songs. In a confessional song like “ "Mere Din Khatam Huye" he is seen as a remorseful mortal looking up to god to forgive his sins and shows a commitment to personal change and resolving to a more humble life.
In Songs like "Chupke Se" or "Rok Le “ his skills in emoting a girls emotion can be fully felt . If Chupke Se reflects the careful actions of a woman in protecting the identity of her lover , Rok Le shows another character unwilling to show her emotional fragility fearing that the world would know her deeply hidden feelings .
Songs like “ Aake Zara “ , “Rok Le “ , "Rangon Ki Murad" shows Sandeep’s genius in simplifying Indian Classical music for the listeners.

Singing with deep emotions come naturally to Sandeep and he is bound to captivate the listeners with the distinct melancholy and romance in his voice.
