ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Sandy Carroll returns to her blues roots with this album. Last Southern Belle, her previous album, reached #1 on the Roots Music Contemporary Country Chart. She has had three songs reach the top five of the Country Indie Charts. She is a singer-songwriter who defies labels other than "one of the best". She was a fixture as a blues artist on Beale Street for many years and has been honored with a note there. The album was produced by her husband, Jim Gaines, who has won Grammys for work with Stevie Ray Vaughan, Santana and Journey. Sandy is backed by the top studio musicians from Memphis and Mussel Shoals. "Returning to the blues is my comfort zone--this album was one of the hardest to write because I really wanted to say something about what's going on around us but keep true to the genre of the music's tradition." Co-writing with some the top Nashville and Mussel Shoals composers, Sandy has created what will be recognized as her best work.
