Album Notes
Harmonica virtuoso and multi-instrumentalist Sandy Weltman learned much of his progressive harmonica style while under the tutelage of diatonic harmonica pioneer Howard Levy, and has since gained international recognition in his own right. While at home in the jazz realm, he is equally skilled in blues, bluegrass, world music and many other musical genres.

As an enthusiastic Ukulele-ist, Sandy branches out into new and unexplored finger style territories all with grace, creativeness and and taste.

Sandy Weltman is one of the most creative musicians in St. Louis, with strong roots in both jazz and acoustic music. He’s a great entertainer and a consummate musician!” - Paul Reuter, Executive Director, Sheldon Concert Hall

“He is a true musician. And to also think of the ideas that he hears in his mind and then to execute them with flawless ease is truly astounding. My hat’s off to him.,
Richard Hayman
Principal Pops Conductor, St. Louis Symphony Pops Concerts-Classical Conductor

"Weltman deserves praise as a soloist; his harmonica playing leaps out into inventive melodic territory while expressing the emotions inherent in the song."
St. Louis Post Dispatch

"Weltman stretches the limits of the instrument by following his mentor Howard Levy as a pioneer of the basic 10-hole diatonic harmonica"
Riverfront Times

"Sandy Weltman is the most versatile harmonica player in St. Louis - bar none!"
