Album Notes
Sara Broman is the Stockholm native with roots north of the Arctic Circle. As soon as she could, she left the capital of Sweden for other worlds with an unquenching thirst to discover new places, without and within. During her time at well renowned Musicians Institute in Los Angeles she discovered the art and craft of Songwriting, and it's since been her most important form of expression.
Sara writes mostly lyrics, music and melody by herself and co-produces during recording. The magical journey from a single line of lyric to a finished song is what lies closest to her heart. A new portal opened recently, where she's begun to write in her mother tongue Swedish, after writing exclusively in English, which gives another flavor to her creativity.

The spring of 2019 will see the release of two singles from Sara's second EP "Dragonfly", whose title track already is available on digital platforms. The Dragonfly symbolizes change and transformation, which is what the songs have been born out of, now with a stronger connection to her love for soul and music with roots in the African continent south of Sahara.

Sara follows in the tracks of female singer/songwriters that creates music from their own lives, where Joni Mitchell, Stevie Nicks and Bonnie Raitt have been big inspirations. Songwriters like Peter Gabriel and John Mayer, as well as icons Aretha Franklin and Ella Fitzgerald has also meant a lot. As a singer and artist. Sara has a depth and width that touches the listener, both with her voice as her authenticity as a human, where the songs are an extension of herself offers a window into her personal life and musings on life in general.

Her creativity stretches beyond the limits of genre, which we get a taste of in her composition of a famous poet Karin Boye. Two of her poems merged together into one song, "Många Röster Talar" ("Many Voices Speaking"), which will also be on the EP.
