CRITICA DEL DISCO APARECIDA EN LA COLINA 45 -
http://www.lacolina45.com/2014/10/07/sara-gee-the-ramblers-ramblers-romance-autoeditado-2014/

We are strongly influenced by the old recordings of Sun Records, Chess Records, the field recordings of Alan Lomax and we believe that there´s not a better way to capture a band´s sound that recording them when they are playing live, so that´s exactly what we did.

We gathered together at Soni's recording studio, dear friend and sound wizard and after setting up a SM 58 to capture Sara´s vocals and a Taylor rhythm guitar in one track and a Seinheisser hanging in a Class A 5W valve Chimp BWM amp for the lead guitar, a Gretsch Nashville and an AKG bassdrum microphone for the double bass sharing another track. Backing vocals and snare drum were captured during the ambient recording, we captured the sound analogically and no overdubs have been added to the recordings.

"Ramblers Romance" and "House of the Blues" are home studio recordings that we decided to include as the title track and a bonus song. Matt sings and plays a 1940s Archtop Melodija Menges Acoustic Guitar, Dobro with slide, Electric Bass, Shakers, Cow Bell, Percussion in "Rambler's Romance"

Vocals, 1940s Archtop Melodija Menges, Fender Thinline Telecaster, Electric Bass and Drums in "House of The Blues".

Backing Vocals in both tunes by Sara and Matt. Recorded in Ruzafa, Valencia between April and June 2014.

We would like to dedicate this album to our friends and family, and to our supporters, fans and enemies too. We love you all. Power is a State of Mind.

"You can drop me a dollar and I´ll sing you a song, loose a fifty and you´ll get me singing all night long..." (Rambler's Romance)
