Album Notes
"When esteemed composer and record producer Quincy Jones exclaimed "This girl can sing!" after hearing Chicago jazz and soul singer Sarah Marie Young, he wasn't kidding." -Eric Schelkopf, The Total Scene

"She has a unique style that fits any style; her own voice. I have no doubt her career will be taking off." -Bruce Lundvall, Chairman Emeritas and former CEO of Blue Note Records

Chicago vocalist Sarah Marie Young is the winner of the 2011 Shure Montreux Voice Competition at the Montreux Jazz Festival (as judged by Quincy Jones). She clearly has jazz influences, but brings both soul and pop elements into her new record. The album was recorded at Balik Farm Studios in Toggenberg, Switzerland.

Melding authentic soulful influences of jazz, r&b, pop, folk and Young's life experiences makes her premiere original album "Too Many Februaries" a must listen.
