Album Notes
Composer/Pianist Jim Bell (1943-2007) was a dynamite entertainer known for his quick wit and beautiful melodies.

After graduating from Northwestern University in Illinois with a degree in music, Jim worked Off-Broadway until being drafted into the Army. While stationed at Ft. Wainwright he answered a call from the Palace for a piano player. He got the job and continued to make music and laughter at the Palace for the next 40 years. Known as "Jimmy Bluebell" to his many friends and admirers, Jim wrote hundreds of songs featured in dozens of musicals and revues. His music lives on in the Golden Heart Revue, a popular show performed for visitors at Pioneer Park in Fairbanks.

Jim's Goddaughter Sarah Mitchell received a 2016 Individual Artist Award from the Rasmuson Foundation to create an album of Jim's songs. The CD features 15 of his most beloved numbers, showcasing 25 musicians.
