Album Notes
Although, Steve Arrington has been away from the game for a while, he knew that eventually he would come back and do something unique...the next step. Known for his innovative vocal style, which can be heard on such classics as "Watching You," "Just A Touch of Love," "Snap Shot," and "Wait for Me," all with Slave; "Weak at the Knees," (which was sampled by Jay-Z, Jermaine Dupri, NWA, and more) and "Nobody Can Be You, But You," the powerful message music, from his S.A. Hall of Fame days; plus, "Way Out," the vocal extravaganza..."where you never been before", "Feel So Real," and "Dancin In The Key Of Life," heavy dance music and finally, "Stone Love," the smooth ballad, all from his solo work; show the wide versatility in his game. Like all true artists, Steve never does the same thing over and over. He must keep changing and growing.

This album, "Pure Thang," is the pure thing. You hear the journey, the raw excitement of discovery of new ideas and the appreciation of his own history and for the musically legacy of so many that came before him. The first single, "I'm On Fire," speaks of an artist with a fresh exciting new point of view...the next level. From Thelonious Sphere Monk to Hound Dog Taylor, to to Heatwave, to the Clark Sisters, to BT, to Lupe Fiasco, it's all good. Appreciating and always searching to find that never ending flow of love through music, the next step, the "Pure Thang."

Steve's Back...
Those of you who remember the group "Slave" and "Steve Arrington's Hall of Fame," well let me just say "He's Back" so what are you waiting for. Everyone should have this in their collection...I do. Thanks Steve

Outstanding Work
Steve Arrington is one of my favorite artists. I've been influenced by his music for years. This is one of his best projects. He hasn't lost a step. The spiritual message comes through loud and clear, with some slammin' funk leading the way. Thanks to The Invade for a great CD!

With a undeniable sound and precision geared vocals Steve Arrington returns to the scene on Fire!!
He brings a diverse album with smooth dynamics and quite frankly a breath of fresh air from the constant
circular patterns of the mainstream industry. Songs like Nobody Else, Coolin, Soul Food, and
The Devil cant sing Amazing Grace shows impeccable diversity that's overwhelmingly fragrant... Congrats Steve

Steve Arrington is the best vocalist, I have longed to here him again on the player of my car. Man this is an awesome privilege to get to here some new work from my favorite singer. When he was with Slave man they were fantastic I loved the whole group that's how I found this new album by Steve is because I was listening to the Group songs of slave on the internet.

The Return of The Invade !!!
Steve Arrington is back. If you know funk music, you must know that he's a pioneer. Remember "Weak at the knees", "Nobody Can Be You", "Speak with your body", "Turn Up the Love" ... Steve worked with the famous groups SLAVE, AURRA, HALL OF FAME. His new music is more diverse and less focused on the funk. There is R&B, Dance, Funk, Jazz, Pop... for everyone.

Go buy this record if you like music !!!
