ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
About Female Bureau of Investigation:
Sasha Sumner formed Female Bureau of Investigation as an all female band which subsequently morphed into a mixed gender band. This seven piece band has revolving members and is an on-going music and recording project. Sasha Sumner is the composer, vocalist, sax player, and band leader. She is a multi-media artist with current projects in video, music, performance, social engagement and pedagogy.
About My Secret:
This song is about the changing dynamics of a relationship, the subtle ebb and pull of holding and losing power, a cyclic play of weakness and strength, the mystery that drives desire.
About My Secret video:
The video for this song employs color as its primary theme. In Goethe’s color theory, warm red hues suggest excitement and opportunity, while cool blues suggest an unsettled and mysterious feeling. Having no humans represented in the video is intentional. As reading a book is often more powerful than watching the movie, for My Secret, both colors and music are employed to suggest a story of changing human emotions.
