Satoko's biography:

Satoko Kajita was born in Nagoya, Japan, and started playing the piano when she was four years old. She received M.A. of English literature from graduate school of Kobe City University of Foreign Studies in Japan, and finished the doctoral course. She had taught literature at the university for 3 years, and sung as a jazz vocalist in Kobe area. She moved to US in 2003 to study voice performance at Berklee College of Music in Boston with a scholarship, and received the Two-Year Certificate. She moved to New York in 2006, and was certified as an Alexander Technique teacher by ACAT (The American Center for the Alexander Technique) and AmSAT (American Society for the Alexander Technique) in 2009 after completing 3 years training program in ACAT. She teaches the Technique and performs as a vocalist and Sanshin player in NYC area.
