Insights to the songs
A Taste of Paradise
1. When
In relationships we sometimes let words pass the gates of our mouths that hurt our lover's ears what if we used some restraint of tounge and held off until that wave passed?
2. Jump
Have you ever wanted to do something so fundamentally core to who you are, had no idea how it would work out, but did it anyway? For me, it was following the dream of music wherever it would takeÊ This song is that leap of faith
3. Squeeze
That feeling when you wake up in the morning next to your sweetie and reach over
4. OOH OOH OOH
A Sensual Reggae tune about seeing your lady dancing in the audience
5. Marlena
A song about a high school reunion. a fella comes home to his high school sweetheart with a surprise
6. CCCBF (Credit Card Company's Best Friend)
This song is brought to you by VISA, Mastercard, Discover, Chase, Citibank, Advanta, MBNA, GE Money Bank, Providian, Washington Mutual, and all the other cards that have helped me play the poker game of music Éand a cautionary tale to those not yet indebted to the voluntary plastic slavery
7. Pop Party
8. All that I want
I woke up to the radio one morning saying that every 18 minutes someone takes his or her own life in this country and wrote this song on the tail of that waking. A funky portrait of what I really want in this world. This song is dedicated to the memory of Alvin Sykes, a great bay area Drummer/singer/entertainer that I had the honor of playing with and seeing shortly before he went to jam with James Brown.
9. Do Do Do
I often imagine an alien society flying down to earth to view our activities on terra ferma and marveling at how fast we run amuck. They would ask, "where are they going in a such a hurry?" A commentary on how busy we are with these things that seem so important and how the right person in your life can make you stop for minute
10.Crazymaker
Is there someone in your life who drives you crazy whether they are present or not? This song is for those people
11. A Taste of Paradise
the temptation of infidelity, what is it that draws us away?
12. Blackwater Fever
A Story About my Great Gandfather Eli Susman and his Brother Harry. They were pioneers in the cattle trading industry in Africa in 1899. Both men contracted Blackwater Fever (an advanced form of Malaria) and only survived as a result of being quarantined on an ant hill for 3 days and drinking zulu beer non-stop. It's thanks to them that you can hear this music.
13. Last Call A song for all the bartenders and patrons I've partied with over the last years

Saul Kaye is bread for Dave Mathews
Versatile and entertaining...the more I listen the more competitor radio stations are going to play the Saul Kaye Band.
Just remember where you heard it first!
