Reach for the Peach

by Saul Rayo & Elena Powell

Saul and Elena wrote, sang and played all the instruments on the acoustic-based CD. The tracks range from pumping rhythm and fiddle protest songs to bluesy acoustic soul to sweet simple pop songs. The two sing harmonies together which is a highlight.

Album Notes
On Reach for the Peach, Elena and Saul inadvertently set out to answer one of life's greatest questions: can two artists, who are also a couple, come together to play and sing on each other's songs, and co-write, and have a harmonious experience -- throughout the process and beyond, to be able to impart their love for each other into the music?
We think so. And we would love to share it with you, these songs which reflect our world. Please enjoy!
Our influences include: country blues, Americana, 60s folk protest songs, Joni Mitchell, Peter Gabriel, and Fairport Convention.
