Album Notes
Threatened commercial manipulation from the majors and the fast changing recording industry gave Saville the incentive and opportunity to bring this new album together. The genre; if it's really that important, you will have to decide for yourself. Safe Pop' this is not, perhaps a purposeful mongrel of jazz & experimental. Repeated listening to the carefully balanced production from Clark / Wilson of the highly emotive aural collage will reveal Saville's subtle secrets as Harri' shares all from the inside out.

“Passionate pensive lyrics written from inner visions and outer experiences taking the listener through a musical journey of restrained instrumentation and intelligent arrangement topped with her thoughtful smoky vocals.”

“Competent relaxed and confidently assured. A lovely vocal orientation of blended soul, blues, jazz and funk delivered with subtle passion”

This new album is both autobiographical and a result of trying to write an audible picture for those that wish to look more closely than just listening to good music. I have used broad strokes of dark, heart-felt sadness, primary coloured highlights of joy and humour, pastel shades of sentimental love, passion and romance. The canvas is deeply personal and emotional full of intimate samples of my life and loves, all composed, arranged and then recorded in this album.

I am not a young ‘barely out of teens’ artist, I am a maturing woman with a developing inner growth and deep personal awareness. My music is born out of digested emotions, from staring into my own soul as well as humanity and being all the more wise for it. Life’s experiences have sometimes deeply wounded and damaged me, but this unique perspective offers an emotional intensity that I can share in my music. Equally love and happiness is a giddy wonder that I can convey both lyrically and melodically.

John (Clark) my partner is crucial in my life and music; he makes it better than good. We felt the intention of this new project seemed self indulgent & somewhat ambitious as we peeked out from our steady careers as session musicians, safely regurgitating other musician’s work. We agreed we had both hidden behind our musical facades for long enough. At last we are liberated by our own creativity, though as
a result rather tentative and have nothing in the way of savings left.

We had to search high & low to find the right musicians that shared our passion and eclectic musical taste. We are totally fanatical about the mood of our music and finding naturally empathic players that instinctively knew how to portray subtle ambience was a challenge. It’s exceptional to find a musician that can truly understand & play more than one style with fluency, skill & authenticity, finding five others was no less than a miracle. I am incredibly proud of them all.

Saville brings everything from tinges of jazz to splashes of techno & with this album boundaries of style seemed to be little but restricting & may have ended up being nothing other than a blanket covering the passionate & revealing objective. "All Inside Out" is based on sharing experiences & thoughts; as a result it's hardly surprising it's varied.

The Rebecca Review

Beautiful Aural Collage of Life and Love
"I have used broad strokes of dark, heart-felt sadness, primary coloured highlights of joy and humor, pastel shades of sentimental love, passion and romance. The canvas is deeply personal and emotional full of intimate samples of my life and loves, all composed, arranged and recorded in this album." ~ Elizabeth Wilson

Harri' Saville's beautifully melodic vocals infuse this collage of life experience with a heightened sense of comfort all while engaging the listener with exciting and creative lyrics. Her voice can become soft and sultry or expand out into an angelic perfection. All the songs were written and composed by Elizabeth Wilson and then set to music in the Funky Business Studios in the United Kingdom.

Gordon Anderson, Dan "Morgan" Ellin, JC Clark, Laurence Basham, Tim Hall , Jamie Lynch and David Gelder all add a sense of excellence to each selection. The sense of connection between the musicians is very evident and the entire album is infused with a beautiful warmth and eclectic sensibility.

The songs are a blend of soul, blues, jazz and funk in a beautiful fantasy of love gained and lost. I love how this album creates a reflective mood all while intriguing with elements of world fusion and electronic flourishes. In "The Thrill Bill" we enter a series of intimate contemplations and then in "Could You?" we encounter a variety of intriguing ideas that are witty and thought provoking. I love the sweet dreamy textures of "Daydream" and how it creates the feeling of floating away on clouds above fields of wildflowers. The entire song is magical with images of fantasy worlds created in the mind:

"Whenever I daydream
and daydream I do
In my secret garden
I daydream of you"

The lyrics truly do portray a series of life experiences anyone can relate to and at times it reminded me of the way the Ditty Bops tell stories in their songs, but this is much more sultry and sensual. The honesty in the lyrics makes this an intimate conversation with the listener. The mood of the album remains consistent so you enter a magical original space where the stories of humor (Silly Girl), fear (The ¼ Past Midnight Monster), memories (Where Are You Now?), forgiveness (Big Deal-No Worries), romance (Heart Is There), falling in love (Inside Out), sadness (Crying In My Sleep), moving forward into the future (Ended) and commitment to love (Tug of War) takes center stage.

Harri' Saville's voice invites you into a world you will long for again and again. "All Inside Out" is a journey of emotional revelations that are infused with beautiful life experiences, secret gardens and wisdom gained from life experience (Slow Down). This is a magical and unique musical find with a passionately creative appeal.

Highly Recommended!
