Album Notes
Tunes is a wonderful collection from Stephen, including the mixed metered Fields of Plastic, flatpicking marvel Afton Mountain, and one of this writer's all-time favorites - C.E.O.

About C.E.O., Stephen writes, "That's Comanche Executive Officer. I wrote it for a friend. When Bill started taking lessons from me some years ago, he told me he was retired from a couple of defense contracting firms. I later found out that he had actually been CEO. Bill is also part Comanche - and the irony that this descendant of folks who had in the 19th century given the U.S. Army such a difficult time would in the 20th be vital for its efficacy, struck me as amusing and inspired this tune."

Besides the 3 mentioned above, Stephen's original compositions on Tunes are Balcony Boogie, Issoudun, Adirondack Lullaby, The Swingset, Wheelbarrow Boogie, Remember, Good Dog and The Eye of God. There are 3 arrangements of traditional tunes: Westphalia Waltz, Blackberry Blossom and Indian Nation.

Tunes contains 8 solos and 1 duet for 6-string guitar, 2 solos on Stephen's 1930 National steel guitar, and 3 harp guitar solos.
