Album Notes
Here's what some critics have to say about Scott E. Moore:

"Moore's voice is full of blue-eyed soul, able to express innocent wonder and world-weary resignation." - (Performing Songwriter (2-time Top DIY))

"The albums that are fantastic enough to play many times over because you're afraid you'll miss something or not capture it all in one pass....THOSE are the classic albums that have unlimited shelf life. They endure forever. They have their own time span. This is what we have with SONGS FOR THE RECORD." - (Independent

"Pay attention, Scott's about to spill his guts to you, and the two of you are going to bond. All you have to do is listen." - (Songwriter Monthly)

"Listen to Scott E. Moore's voice and guitar playing and you will instantly be enchanted." - Boston/NEMO Music Conference

A perfect blend of John Hiatt and Keb Mo
With Scott E. Moore folk, blues and soul come together. Stuff from a lot of new songwriters starts getting bored quickly, because the honest labor often sounds to familiar. Well, Moore didn't start a revolution. Hangin around sounds as if it comes from a John Hiatt album, The end of the day would fit perfectly with Keb Mo. Still the songs are catchy and exciting enough to ad something to it. There isn't a song on the album that doesn't stand as a rock. Compared to his more jazzy debut Bridge and Tunnel, Songs for the record is a giant step towards singer-songwriter stardom if it only would get the chance to get noticed.
